50-50 DRAW!
Building Padel’s Future in Canada Together
At the Canada Padel Federation (CPF), we are committed to creating meaningful change in how padel develops across our country. Since our founding, we’ve witnessed firsthand how this sport transforms communities, creates connections, and provides accessible activity for Canadians of all abilities. Now, we are taking concrete steps to unify the growing padel community from coast to coast.
Our immediate priority is bringing together the diverse padel clubs operating throughout Canada. By creating a collaborative network rather than isolated entities, we can share resources, expertise, and opportunities that benefit everyone involved in the sport.
To support this vision, we need sustainable funding. While traditional revenue streams like memberships and sponsorships remain important, we have secured an innovative partnership that offers significant potential for our community.
We’ve partnered with Sapanahai International Limited, a reputable gaming operator with proper international licensing to conduct wide-scale 50/50 draws. Unlike typical arrangements where we would bear operational responsibilities, Sapanahai handles all aspects of draw management, including ticket processing, winner verification, prize distribution, and regulatory compliance. This allows us to focus on what we do best – growing padel in Canada.
Under this arrangement, 50% of proceeds go to draw winners, and the CPF receives the remaining 50% to reinvest in the sport. Our responsibility is simply to promote these sweepstakes through our established networks.
We’ve developed a transparent allocation plan for these funds:
- 10% supports essential CPF administration costs, ensuring stable operations
- 40% builds toward establishing a national headquarters that will serve as both training center and community hub
- 50% funds our National Programming and Development Fund (NPDF), directly supporting local initiatives
The NPDF represents our commitment to grassroots development, providing resources where they are needed most. Member clubs and provincial associations can access this fund to support coaching programs, youth development, facility improvements, and accessibility initiatives.
To maximize this opportunity, we are reaching out to provincial associations, local clubs, and industry partners. Your participation in promoting these draws directly strengthens our collective ability to grow padel across Canada.
Together, we can build something that benefits everyone in the Canadian padel community.
